BOOK YOUR STAY

Take a deep breath and settle into the quiet charm of Spring Valley Farm, our 600-acre country retreat. Five inviting cabins provide everything you need—electricity, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a full bath with a standing shower—along with year-round climate control and fast fiber-optic internet. Far removed from the road and city noise, the cabins are nestled in the woods about 100 feet apart, each with its own private outdoor space. They’re surrounded by pastures with horses and cows, and within a short walk—down a steep hill—you’ll find a clear creek and a stocked fishing pond where scenic views and breathtaking sunsets stretch in every direction.

Our guided horseback trail rides pass right through the campground, and you’ll have plenty of chances to enjoy add-on activities like wagon rides, hiking, fishing, or a visit to our free petting zoo. Guests are welcome to explore on foot, though pastures aren’t labeled and trails are unmarked. Here you’ll find privacy without isolation and the outdoors without roughing it—all just a short drive from Smith Mountain Lake and other nearby attractions.

You’ll have access to your entire cabin, with a private outdoor space to relax and enjoy. While the cabins are within sight of one another, you can choose how much—or how little—you interact with your neighbors. The pond is a shared space, and if any issues arise, simply reach out to management and we’ll take care of it right away.

  • Work or Play, You’re Covered

Cell service is generally good throughout the cabin campground. Each cabin features a smart TV with popular streaming apps like Hulu, Netflix, and Disney+, and now offers fast fiber-optic internet—perfect for streaming, staying connected, or even getting a little work done if needed.

  • Cabin Kitchen Amenities

Each cabin’s kitchenette features a refrigerator and a separate freezer, microwave, electric cooktop, sink, and a small selection of dishes and basic cooking utensils. You’ll also find a Keurig-style coffee maker with a starter pack of K-cups, and French presses will be available soon. Outside, enjoy a picnic table, charcoal grill, and private fire pit for meals and relaxing under the stars.

  • Essentials

We provide fresh linens, soft towels, soap, and toilet paper so you can pack light and settle in comfortably. Everything you need for a relaxing stay is ready when you arrive.

  • Swimming

Cool off in the creek or pond, or take a short walk or drive to enjoy permitted access to the in-ground swimming pool. No lifeguards are on duty, so adult supervision is required for children.

  • Fishing

Our pond is stocked and ready for you to enjoy—no fishing license required. Just bring your own gear and remember it’s catch and release only.

  • Petting Zoo

Our petting zoo is open to visitors of all ages—no reservation needed and completely free! Come meet our friendly critters, from goats, llamas, sheep, alpacas, donkeys, rabbits, and ducks to our unique zonkey “Ziggy” and even “Sid” the camel. Just stop by and enjoy the fun!

  • Hiking

We have six hundred acres of land for you to explore: feel free to take a hike through the woods, up the creek, through the fields, etc., and enjoy nature as it was meant to be enjoyed.

  • Add-Ons for Your Stay

Enhance your visit with a carriage ride or a guided trail ride (click here for trail rides). We also offer hand-led horse or pony rides—a great option for adults or children who prefer a shorter, gentler experience. Pony rides are $15 per person. If you are interested in scheduling a carriage ride or a pony ride let our office staff know!
