Anna Powell, Trainer
As Spring Valley Farm’s full-time trainer, Anna’s approach is methodical, empathetic, and deliberate. She uses natural horsemanship techniques to create a solid, correct foundation that sets horses up for long-term success. She believes in doing things the right way, not the fast way—taking the time to earn trust, establish clarity, and build confidence from the ground up.
Beyond skill, what truly sets Anna apart is her work ethic and devotion. She shows up every day with purpose, cares deeply for the horses in her program, and takes pride in doing things right. She listens, observes, and never cuts corners. That kind of character can’t be taught—it’s lived, and we are incredibly proud of the horsewoman she has become.
Anna grew up on this farm, learning the rhythm of the seasons, early mornings, late nights, and the quiet lessons horses teach when you take the time to listen. She has been part of our world for years—helping, learning, and growing into the kind of trainer you don’t create overnight.
Today, Anna has chosen to build her career here at home, dedicating herself full time to training our horses and working with a select number of outside client horses. We’re proud of the program she is building and excited to offer professional horse training rooted in patience, consistency, and genuine horsemanship. Clients can expect thoughtful care, clear communication, and a welcoming farm environment where every horse is treated with respect.
